Bart Garrison, CIC

I started my insurance career in 1985 and joined the High Country Agency in 2005 when my family and I moved to Ruidoso. Believing that it is important to give back to the community I belong to, I have served on numerous boards including board member, past president and current member of the Ruidoso Rotary Club; past board member and Chairman of the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce; board member and past treasurer for the Lincoln County Home Builders Association; past member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for Ruidoso; member of The Worship Center; and member of the New Mexico Amigos. I truly enjoy Ruidoso and working with the best insurance team in New Mexico.

I am a member of The Worship Center in Alamogordo and of the Alamogordo White Sands Rotary Club. My son Lance and his wife Kaitlin live in Alamogordo where Lance serves as the Youth Minister at The Worship Center and Kaitlin teaches 2nd grade. Our family loves to camp, go four-wheeling, ride motorcycles and be involved with our church and our community.

My family and I moved to Capitan, NM in 1995. I became a member of the High Country Agency team on February 27, 2001, and loved the opportunity to grow within the agency from being the company receptionist to a licensed insurance agent, and CISR. I served as the secretary for the Carrizozo Chamber of Commerce for several years and served as the VP for the Capitan Booster Club. I had the honor of being the secretary for the Ruidoso Lincoln County Crime Stoppers Organization for 4 years, and served as a board member for St. Joseph’s Apache Mission transition project. I have 3 beautiful children, which my two oldest have blessed me with 3 wonderful grandchildren. I have been very blessed to live in these beautiful mountains meeting wonderful people who cross my path every day.

I moved to Ruidoso in 1998 and graduated from Ruidoso High School in 2007. I have a wonderful son who is an avid Fortnite gamer. We love living in the mountains and going hiking, fishing and off-roading. My son and I moved to Lubbock, TX for a couple of years where I worked as a veterinary technician. Even though I loved working with animals we missed family in Ruidoso. We moved back in May of 2019 and I decided to change careers. I was blessed with the amazing opportunity to work with Bart Garrison and the High Country Agency family. It has been the best experience becoming a part of this amazing team. I have learned so much and am now a licensed insurance agent. I can’t wait to see what the future holds in my insurance career here at High Country Agency.

I’ve called Ruidoso home my entire life. I graduated from Ruidoso High School in 2002 and am currently enrolled in ENMU Ruidoso to finish my Associate’s in Business Administration. My husband and I have five amazing children who keep us busy. I love camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and just taking advantage of the beautiful scenery we are blessed with. Over the years have had the opportunity to meet and work with so many amazing people. I had the privilege of joining the High Country Agency team on February 10, 2020 and am so grateful for the positive atmosphere and great co-workers. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones.
