I started my insurance career in 1985 and joined the High
Country Agency in 2005 when my family and I moved to Ruidoso.
Believing that it is important to give back to the community I
belong to, I have served on numerous boards including: board
member, past president and current member of the Ruidoso
Rotary Club; board member and chairman of the Ruidoso
Valley Chamber of Commerce; board member and
treasurer of the Lincoln
County Home Builders Association; member and board
One Church; member of the
Amigos; and on the Planning and Zoning Commission
for Ruidoso. I truly enjoy Ruidoso and working with the best
insurance team in New Mexico.
Arlene Garrison -
I have been in insurance for 13 years and for the past
three years have been a member of the High Country Agency
family. My family and I moved to Ruidoso in 2005. I am a
One Church and of the Alamogordo White Sands Rotary
Club. My son Lance and his wife Kaitlin live in Alamogordo
where he serves as the Youth Minister at The Worship Center.
Our family loves to camp, go four wheeling, and ride
motorcycles. When we are not doing insurance we are more than
likely in the great outdoors.

My family and I moved to Capitan,
NM in 1995. I became a member of the High Country Agency team
February 27, 2001 and love the opportunity to grow within the
agency from being the company receptionist to a licensed
insurance agent, and CISR.
Living in the Ruidoso/Capitan
area has given me the opportunity to serve the community in
many different organizations. I was the Cub-Scout master in
Capitan for 2 years. I was also my daughter's Daisy and
Brownie leader, and secretary for the High Country Rodeo
Association. I served as the secretary for the Carrizozo
Chamber of Commerce for several years, and served as the VP
for the Capitan Booster Club. I had the honor of being the
secretary for the Ruidoso Lincoln County Crime Stoppers
Organization for 4 years, and served as a board member for St.
Joseph's Apache Mission transition project.
I have 3 beautiful children,
which my two oldest have Blessed me with 3 wonderful
grandchildren. My sons are both graduates of the Dona Ana
Branch Electrical Lineman program. Dustin is the Foreman of
the Jicarilla Apache Nation Power Authority, and Joshua is
employed by El Paso Electric Company . My daughter completed
the NM Police Academy Dispatcher Program in Santa Fe, NM
ranking in the top 5 of her class, and is now a dispatcher for
the Ruidoso Police Dept. I have been very Blessed to live in
these beautiful mountains meeting wonderful people who cross
my path every day.

I moved to Ruidoso in 2009. I completed
my Bachelor's in Business Administration in December of 2014.
I have been in the insurance business since April of 2012. I
was given the opportunity to come to High Country Agency in
March 2013. After starting at High Country Agency, I was able
to complete my
CISR designation and am working towards my CIC designation. I
have met and worked with a lot of wonderful people here and
look forward to being able to continue making and
strengthening my relationships with my co-workers and
customers. I am blessed to be a part of the High Country

I was born and raised here in the beautiful mountains of
Ruidoso. I have watched this small town grow into a popular
tourist town. I have been a part of the Roadrunner Food
Distribution and the backpack program. I also completed
Leadership Lincoln and have served on the board. In the year
of 2016 I was selected as the Customer Service Representative
of year for the state of New Mexico in the Insurance industry.
I love supporting the community in any way that I can. I was
given the opportunity to come work for High Country Agency in
May 2013 and that December received my Insurance license.
Coming from having no experience in insurance, I have
immensely expanded my knowledge of the industry and intend to
let it keep growing. I enjoy the people I work with and am so
glad to be a part of the High Country Agency Family.

This fine city of Alamogordo has been my
home since 2005. I moved away for four years to attain my
Bachelor's degree at ENMU in Portales, and as of June 2016, I
am officially back in the heart of the desert! My husband,
Lance, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve
at our church, The Worship Center, as youth ministers. I
believe that investing in the next generation is absolutely
essential and it is one of my biggest passions. I have also
served as a children's pastor, worship leader, and girl's
small group leader. I began working at High Country Agency
shortly after returning to Alamogordo and it has been awesome
learning the ins and outs of the insurance industry. Being a
part of the High Country Agency team is a joy and a pleasure
as we daily get the opportunity to serve the members of our

I was born in Albuquerque, grew up in
Roswell, Graduated from Mississippi State University with a BA
in Business. I then became a PGA Assistant Golf Professional
in Florida for several years giving lessons and helping run
the daily operations of the golf courses. I changed careers in
2004 going to work for Shaw Industries as an outside sales rep
and finishing as a Regional Manager. I continued in the Carpet
and Rug Industry for a few more years with Nourison
We had discussed a new adventure and
decided to make some changes to our life. My husband and I
have always loved Ruidoso and had several opportunities to
visit family for Christmas. He sold his landscape and Design
company in Florida, I gave my notice, and we traveled and did
missionary work here in the United States for several months.
Upon visiting Ruidoso again, we felt this would be our next
adventure. We visited One Church and wanted to be a part of
how they want to reach this mountain and make a difference in
this community. Brent and I are in leadership at ONE Church
and love to serve and connect with people.
February of 2017 is when we officially
moved to Ruidoso and started to settle in to our new home. I
was informed that there was an opportunity to join the team at
High Country Agency. I feel it is a fitting place for me to
be, as my father made his career as an Insurance Agent and
Financial Adviser. I could not work at a better place. What a
wonderful group of real people who are truly amazing. It is
wonderful to work in a business that places the top priority
on the people and making business transactions that benefit
the customer and cater to the customers needs, just as
business should be. I feel very blessed to be here and am
thankful for the opportunities that are before me. I look
forward to growing with High Country Agency and following in
my Father's footsteps.

I moved to Ruidoso in 2005, and graduated
Ruidoso High School in 2011. I was going to school to become
an RN, and decided that it was not for me. I then worked in
the technology field for about 2 years and banking for another
2 years. I learned a lot, but it was not the place for me. I
joined the High Country Agency family in July of 2016 and can
say I truly love it. I have learned itís not so much the job
you do, but many times the people who you work with that makes
the difference. I have a great opportunity to grow and build a
career here in Insurance. Other than having amazing co-workers
and a great boss to work for and with; it is great to be part
of a business that is not just about helping customers with
what they want, but also helping them understand what they
I have a wonderful husband; we
were married in 2016 after 10 years of dating. My husband was
born and raised here in Ruidoso. I was born in El Paso TX, but
half my life I grew up in Tularosa, NM. We have a beautiful
Daughter, Fernanda, who just turned 5. At one point my husband
and I thought it was boring here, so we decided to move to El
Paso, thinking that big city life would be exciting. Nope, it
only made us realize and appreciate how amazing and beautiful
Ruidoso truly is.
Itís great to see a community
that grows together, like Ruidoso does. I am looking forward
to many more years here. My goals are to be involved with this
beautiful town; to help where I am needed and where I can.
Other than my family and my job, I have a passion to help
people, anyone who is in need. Working here at High Country
Agency gives me that opportunity. It has made me realize how
important it is to be a part of the community, and I am
thankful to find a place I can call my second home.

I was born and raised in Alamogordo, where I graduated high
school in 2008. Soon after, I went on to study massage therapy
at MTTI in Las Cruces, and completed my certification in 2012.
After opening my massage practice, my husband Paul and I
decided to expand our family and I was blessed to be able to
stay at home and raise our 3 beautiful children. In September
2017, I started my journey at High Country Agency and I have
enjoyed every day since!
